A Timeless Motif

A Timesless Motif

A Timeless Motif is a 10-track compilation by Arden Records in collaboration with London Symphony Orchestra, comprising renowned classical works reimagined in the form of wondrous lofi beats. The label roster came together to create a unique body of work spanning a variety of contemporary styles and providing audiences with a distinctive listening experience for relaxation, concentration, and enjoyment. Through its pioneering in-house label LSO Live, formed in 1999 as the first in a new breed of artist-owned labels, the London Symphony Orchestra provided orchestral performances as the foundation to each lofi remix, with soundscapes ranging from Beethoven to Mahler to Tchaikovsky. The goal of this collaboration is to highlight the common ground found between orchestral and lo-fi listeners seeking a tranquil auditory experience. Additionally, the album artwork designed by Stephen Smith, the renowned London-based artist, includes elements of both the City of London – where the LSO is based – and nature, to represent the philosophy behind Arden Records.

National Parks,Vol. 2
